They say cycling reduces stress. That is true—once you survive the ritual humiliation of trying to clip into your pedals before your first cup of coffee.


Sunday’s ride offered more than just miles. It was a quiet rebellion against routine, a moving meditation down California’s coast through an early wave of May Gray. The air was soft. The silence, welcome. And yes—gravity still has the upper hand on most inclines, but we ride on.


No records were broken. But a little peace was earned. And these days, that is victory enough.
