I AM MARK CONSUELOS AND I RALLY4VETS

Mark Consuelos, a dynamic actor with a diverse cultural background, gained widespread recognition for his role as Mateo Santos on the popular soap opera "All My Children." Born on March 30, 1971, in Zaragoza, Spain, to an Italian mother and a Mexican father, Mark's early life was spent moving between Lebanon, Illinois, and Tampa, Florida.  He discovered his passion for acting in high school and pursued it further at Notre Dame University.  His early acting endeavors included notable performances in local theater productions, setting the stage for his television debut.

 

Mark's breakthrough came with his portrayal of Mateo Santos in "All My Children," a role that not only earned him critical acclaim but also introduced him to his future wife, Kelly Ripa.  Beyond the world of soap operas, Mark has shown his versatility with appearances in various television series and films, including a memorable guest role in the iconic sitcom "Friends."  His acting skills were acknowledged with a Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 2002.

ABOUT MARK

Apart from his acting career, Mark is known for his deep connection to his roots, evident in his annual trips to Italy and his fluency in Italian, despite his Spanish birth.  A sports enthusiast, he actively participates in soccer and softball, showcasing his athletic prowess.  Off-screen, Mark is deeply involved in diabetes awareness programs, demonstrating his commitment to philanthropic causes.

 

Mark Consuelos' journey from a multicultural upbringing to becoming a celebrated figure in Hollywood is a testament to his talent and adaptability.  His diverse roles across television and film, coupled with his dedication to personal causes, establish him as a prominent and influential personality in the entertainment industry.
