VOLUNTEER
A passion for motorsports may present itself in a number of ways. For some of us, it’s driving but there are many ways to get involved. Running an event requires the talents of a wide variety of dedicated individuals. The Top Dog Trophy Challenge at Summit Point is a track cross event, which means we need a bunch of volunteers to support the driving teams and make the event go smoothly and safely.
Are you a photographer? Do you excel and structure (think registration)? Are you great with people (think interviewing for our social media program)? And there are more opportunities. The mission is to reduce the annual veteran suicide death toll.
Be a participant . . . not just a fan! But we love fans, too! Come along and enjoy the fun and camaraderie.

*The Top Dog Championships are a cross between autocross SCCA /NASA time trials in a competitive format with 30 to 60 seconds between cars. You can compete using your daily driver.

REGISTRATION
Registration is our intake team. You will meet and greet arriving participants, check them in, issue their wristbands, and provide their information packet. If you are a ‘people person,’ this role is tailor-made for you. We need a team of 4-5 people with one team lead. Oh, and by the way, you will be sporting a very cool t-shirt and hat!
FLAGGING AND COMMUNICATIONS
This volunteer takes a position along the course and uses flags and hand signals to communicate track conditions to each driver. This position serves as a first responder to any incident on the course, maintains the link between the steward and the drivers, and keeps the fun moving at all times. These people go home dirty. But, you see all of the action. And did we mention you will be wearing a very cool t-shirt and hat?
PHOTO & VIDEO
We need photographs and video clips for the event film production. If you have these skills, amateur or professional, you can play a key role in helping us publicize the dangers of PTSD and how veterans can get help.
PARTICIPANT INTERVIEWER
Are you a people person? A storyteller? We want to capture the stories behind the drivers and volunteers who come to the event. All you need is your smartphone and a smile. You do the interview, give us the video clip, and we’ll do the rest. Oh, and you will be listed on the event video credit roll. How cool will that be?
