This roadster has served with distinction. In 1997, Mazda built about 3,000 M Editions to send off the original pop-up-headlight Miata, all in Marina Green. When Rally4Vets acquired this one in 2021, we painted it white to match our red, white and blue livery, and it's been the hero car at our Top Dog Championship events ever since.

Rally4Vets is transitioning to an NC Miata with an automatic transmission, and this veteran is ready to muster out to a good home. Its service record follows.

WOUNDS AND SCARS (every veteran has a few)

• The timing belt and water pump have not been replaced during our ownership. We recommend doing them as routine maintenance, and we've priced the car with that in mind.

• There are two dings on the front fascia. See photos.

• The glove box has come loose. It's included and just needs to be reinstalled.

• The cup holder is present but in two pieces.

• The factory seats and wheels are not included.

NEXT DUTY ASSIGNMENT

This car has taught a lot of people how much fun a racetrack can be. We'd love to see it go to someone who'll keep that tradition alive, whether that means time trials, autocross, or at the annual Top Dog Championship.
