I AM JONATHAN SCHAECH AND I RALLY4VETS

Johnathon Schaech, an accomplished American actor and screenwriter, was born on September 10, 1969.  Since the early 1990s, Schaech has forged a notable career in both film and television.  His early career highlights include a role on the cover of Vanity Fair's annual "Hollywood" issue in 1996.  Schaech's acting versatility was showcased in the Australian comedy "Welcome to Woop Woop" (1997) and his critically acclaimed portrayal of Harry Houdini in the TNT film "Houdini" (1998).

 

He was awarded Best Supporting Actor at the 2001 New York International Independent Film & Video Festival for his role in the independent feature "Woundings" (1998).

ABOUT JONATHAN

Schaech's more recent works include playing a Soviet political officer in the thriller "Phantom" (2013), appearing as Sean Walker in the Showtime series "Ray Donovan," and portraying the DC Comics character Jonah Hex in "Legends of Tomorrow" (2016-2018).  He has also starred in the Netflix hits "Marauders" (2016) and "Reprisal" (2018).  In 2023, Schaech led the action-crime series "Blue Ridge," reprising his role as Sheriff Justin Wise from the 2020 film of the same name.

Off-screen, Schaech has been an advocate for arts education, speaking on Capitol Hill in 2013.  He married Julie Solomon in July 2013, and the couple has two children.  Schaech has openly shared his personal challenges, including his survival of sexual violence, and participating in the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) PSA "Won't Stay Quiet" in 2019.
