Inauguration week is one of the busiest times in Washington, D.C., with thousands of visitors, including dignitaries, government officials, and event attendees. As a result, hotel rooms fill up rapidly, often months in advance.

Most D.C. hotels significantly raise their rates during the Inauguration period. Prices can start at approximately $1000 per night for even standard accommodations, making it costly for many guests.

In addition to high prices, hotels typically enforce a 3-4 night minimum stay, fully prepaid at the time of booking. For guests who need flexibility or shorter stays, these policies can pose a challenge.

 

Discounted Rates at the Event Venue Unavailable

The Rally4Vets Military Inaugural Ball will be held at the Fairmont Hotel, an esteemed five-star venue in Georgetown. While our team explored options for discounted rates at the Fairmont, we were unable to secure reduced pricing due to the hotel’s capacity and premium status. Even if discounts were available, they would still be at a premium rate due to the hotel’s prestige and location.

 

Our Solution: Partnered Accommodations in Arlington and Alexandria

Recognizing these challenges, we have taken proactive measures to provide guests with comfortable, high-quality accommodation options outside of central D.C. These locations offer significant advantages, including more reasonable pricing, proximity to D.C., and quality service.

 

Hotel Partnerships in Arlington and Alexandria

We are currently in communication with carefully selected hotels in Arlington and Alexandria. These areas are located just outside of Washington, D.C., offering high-caliber lodging while providing more competitive rates.

Extended Minimum Stay but Lower Rates

Similar to D.C. hotels, our partner hotels will require a 3-4 night minimum stay during this time; however, the cost will be significantly lower compared to D.C. options. Guests will still experience high-quality accommodations but without the steep D.C. premium.

Convenient Transportation for Our Guests

To ensure ease and comfort for our attendees, we are arranging transportation services between these hotels and the  Rally4Vets Military Inaugural Ball venue at the Fairmont Hotel. This will allow guests to enjoy the event without worrying about navigating the city’s crowded streets and public transportation during the Inauguration.

Room Block Availability and Guest Notification

The room blocks will be finalized and available for booking by November 20th. Once the accommodation blocks are secured, all confirmed Military Inaugural Ball guests will receive detailed information, including hotel options, rates, booking instructions, and transportation arrangements.
